Technologie and product development:
To be successfull in domestic and foreign markets, products that meet
the needs and trends of these markets must be developed. Realizing this
situation at the beginning of the 1990's, VitrA made considerable investment
in product development teams and tools, and set the challenging objective
of "developing all the products the markets demand." To speed up product
development, CAD CAM technologies are used and VitrA is world leader of
our sector in the number of products developed.
Since the mid 1980's VitrA has followed new technologies closely, and
updated its technology by modernization and capacity increase investments
each year. Both plants are among the most modern in the sector. CAD CAM,
pressure casting, fast dryers, fast firing kilns, and robot glazing, are
world leading technologies in use at our plants.
Vitra won the Eskisehir Chamber of Commerce Technology Application Award
in 1997 in recognition of its success in implementing new technologies.
